Letter from the Director

We were pleased to open our 10th season with the unveiling of a new name and logo to better reflect us as the group of musicians we are and provide us the opportunity to widen our repertoire to include harp, classical guitar, woodwinds and brass.

Ritorno a Musica

Our new name is Ritorno a Musica, which means “return to music.” Some of us have been playing for a short time, some of us are returning to music after having not played our instrument for several years, some of us have picked up a secondary instrument and some of us are returning to the ensemble after an extended illness or injury. I am delighted to have the opportunity to work with the talented amateur musicians of Ritorno a Musica, who share in the belief that our lives are richer with music in it. Yo-Yo Ma once commented, “Music activates all our senses and provides a vital means of self-expression, becoming a platform for us to be actively engaged in living.”

Please join us for a rehearsal and experience how music can enrich your life, or plan to attend one of concerts. Your presence gives meaning to what we do and keeps great music alive and flourishing in our community.

We look forward to sharing a rewarding season of music with you.

Yours in Music,

Ruth H. Erbe
